Pastry chef Tania Peterson has debuted her sweetest creation yet: daughter Zuzu Audrey arrived Sunday, Jan. 30.

The former Top Chef Just Desserts contestant and her husband, Phil Peterson, welcomed their first child at 4:21 a.m. at Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

“I thought I knew what it meant to be in love, but my feelings for her are beyond imagination,” the new mom tells PEOPLE of Zuzu, who came into the world at 7 lbs., 8 oz. and 20 inches long.

“She is absolute perfection.”

The birth is all the more sweet for Peterson, 39, who spoke candidly on the show about her three-and-a-half-year struggle to conceive.

Just three months after the show wrapped production, she became pregnant after undergoing IVF.

Richard Blais better brush up on his baby food recipes!

The Top Chef: All-Stars contestant and his wife Jazmin welcomed their second child, a baby girl, Saturday in Atlanta.

Blais took to his twitter page to announce the good news, posting an adorable pic of the family's new arrival.

"Welcome Embry Lotus Blais!" the Bravo chef, who owns the four star eatery Flip Burger Boutique, blogged.

Richard and Jazmin Blais are also parents to daughter Riley, 2 1/2.

Top Chef Star's Baby Daddy: I want Custody!

The baby daddy of "Top Chef" star Padma Lakshmi has filed legal papers to wrestle custody away from her ... TMZ has learned.

Adam Dell -- brother of the computer king -- filed papers today in a Manhattan court. Under an out-of-court agreement, Adam has visitation rights to see his 11 month old daughter, Krishna Thea Lakshmi, 9 days a month.

That agreement, sources say, is in effect until February 20, when Krishna turns 1. Both Adam and Padma were discussing a custody arrangement after Krishna's birthday, but the negotiations recently fell apart.

Sources tell us ... Adam is still furious over the name Padma chose for the baby. We're told two days after Krishna was born, Adam went to the hospital and launched into a 4-hour tirade over the name.

Adam, who had an intermittent relationship with Padma, was also complaining he was only allowed to see the baby 7 hours a month, though sources connected with Padma say she has never denied him a day of visitation.

Sources connected with Padma tell TMZ ... she feels "bullied" by Adam and wants to handle this in private, for the sake of the baby. We're told Padma has made it clear to Adam she wants nothing to do with him other than raising the baby, and feels this is Adam's way of forcing a relationship.

If the folks over at Bravo are thinking of inviting Jamie Lauren back for another round of Top Chef, they probably shouldn't waste their time.

Jamie is not a happy camper. Sure, she was one of the two cheftestants sent home on All-Stars last night (Tiffani Faison was the other), but that's not what bothers her most.

Did you watch last night's episode?
I did not. I was busy working on a web series and by the time I got home I was too tired.

But are you happy you can talk about the season now?
I haven't really watched much of it. It sort of went downhill for me after episode two so I tried not to watch. So I don't have much to talk about, I guess.

Was it tough seeing it go downhill for you? It got a little brutal.
I think it went downhill in the editing. I know everything that happened because I was there. I didn't want to watch. It's sort of like watching a trainwreck, watching them edit me to pieces. It's really disappointing. That's why I stopped watching, because I didn't want to see what they did next...It seemed a little unfair.

Obviously when you sign up for a show like this, you know there is going to be some tricky editing. Did you ever think they'd go as far as you say they did?
No, especially since I did the show the first season. Everything was fine. I'm the exact same person. They managed to make me look like I didn't want to be there, I didn't know how to cook and all of these things. Why would they ask me back if they didn't think I could do it?

Would you ever do it again?
At this point, probably not. No.

What do you want people to know about you that you feel wasn't shown or not shown correctly?
I was there except for that one episode when I had to go to the hospital. I did cook in every episode...I do know how to cook. That's what I do for a living. I've been doing it for 13 years. I wouldn't be where I am right now if I didn't have the talent.

Looking back and knowing what you know now, would you have not gone to the hospital when you cut your finger?
You know, the medic saying to me, "You need stitches," and hearing that after maybe getting 45 minutes of sleep the night before? My eyes were barely open at that point. I'd never had stitches in my life. To hear those words at 5:00 in the morning when you haven't slept and you're exhausted, the first thing I thought was, 'Oh my god! I need stitches.' It truly freaked me out. I didn't even think about the competition. I have tiny little hands. Two stitches on my tiny little thumb, it's like I use my thumb every day for work. I didn't want to damage it any further. I didn't even think about it. The medic said I needed stitches. She didn't give me another option. She didn't go, "We can do X, Y and Z now and you could get stitches later."...Do I have regrets about that? No. No, I don't.

I could swear Jamie was on season 5, not season 1. How do you try not to watch the show? You either watch it or you don't. What a delusional cry-baby.

New Eye Candy for Top Chef Masters

If you thought the super-skinny, sometimes robotic hostess Kelly Choi was the weakest leak on Top Chef Masters, looks like you weren't the only one. Bravo has just released the news that the third season of the culinary competition will get a new host. It's none other than Australian chef Curtis Stone.

No word on the chefs who will participate, but the channel did announce a ninth season of Top Chef; casting will begin soon. Also slated to premiere in 2011 on Bravo? Rocco DiSpirito's show, Rocco's Dinner Party, a competition where the chefs have to throw the ultimate dinner party.

Since I wasn't much of a Kelly Choi fan, I'm excited to see Curtis Stone as the host of TC Masters.

How about you? Will you be more interested in Top Chef Masters now that it's hosted by a real master chef?

It’s a boy for Top Chef alum Nikki Cascone!

The chef and husband Brad Grossman welcomed their first child, son Jackson Robert Grossman, at 3:17 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3 in New York City, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The baby boy, whom the couple plan to call Jax, weighed in at 7 lbs., 4 oz. and is 19 inches long.

“We both love the name Jackson from one of our favorite shows, Sons of Anarchy, and his middle name is after my stepdad who died of cancer a few years ago,” Cascone explains.

“We had a natural childbirth and after suffering from endometreosis for several years I am ecstatic that we were able to conceive this beautiful miracle baby! We will be taking him to work with us very soon!”

The couple are the owners of Octavia’s Porch, which opened on the Lower East Side in early December.

'Top Chef' Finalist in Long Island Beach Bust

"Top Chef" finalist Sam Talbot got a big, fat helping of justice in New York earlier this month -- when dude drove his truck onto some sand dunes ... and wound up in police custody.

According to a police report, obtained by TMZ, cops responded to a complaint that Talbot was driving his Chevy truck all over a Long Island beach -- but when they got up in Sam's grill ... they realized he was a WANTED MAN!

According to the report, Talbot's license had been suspended for failing to pay a fine -- and for failing to show up in court. Cops immediately placed the chef under arrest and took him down to the station.

Talbot was eventually released after paying the $100 bail. He's due back in court next week."

Help Power the New Year With Duracell

Duracell is using people power to illuminate the 2011 numerals in Times Square on New Year’s Eve – marking the third year in a row that human energy will be used to light the numerals in the annual celebration.

New Yorkers and tourists alike have the chance to literally help power the 2011 numerals by visiting one of two Duracell Smart Power Lab locations, hopping aboard a Power Rover and pedaling. With each push of the pedal, human energy is captured, converted into usable power, and then routed and stored at Duracell Battery Centers. The journey will end at One Times Square, where the stored power will light up the 2011 numerals as the New Year's Eve Ball drops and the clock strikes midnight.

New this year, the Duracell Power Rovers will be featured at two Smart Power Labs. Two Power Rovers are permanently located at the Times Square Visitor Center. Two additional Power Rovers are housed at the Mobile Smart Power Lab, which will be making stops in New York City starting on Tuesday, November 30. Hours of Operation

The Duracell Smart Power Lab at the Times Square Visitor Center, on 7th Avenue, between West 46th and 47th streets, is open now through December 29 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The installation will close at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day.

Top Chef exit interview: Jennifer Carroll

Jennifer Carroll was interviewed by Steve Cavendish for Chicago Tribunes, The Stew.

Note to self: Don't mess with chicks from Philly.

Jennifer Carroll's reputation for being a strong presence in the kitchen was done no harm by her exit from "Top Chef" All-Stars. Defiant to the judges and mad as hell about having to pack her knives and leave, she kept her contempt barely beneath the surface until she walked out of the Stew room and unleashed a torrent of profanity.

How bad was it? Her boss, Michelin three-star chef Eric Ripert, apologized for it on the Bravo site in his video blog. Carroll herself backtracked on the web the next morning, noting her respect for the judges and her competitors.

The Stew caught up with Carroll for an exit interview where she discussed high expectations, Jamie Lauren's stitches and Ripert's comments

You were at the center of one of the most tense judging moments in the history of "Top Chef," what was going through your mind when it became clear that your group as a whole was on the losing end of the challenge?

When it became clear that my team was on the losing end, it was disappointing and upsetting to me. I didn't want to be on the losing team and I didn't think our team was in the loser's circle, but obviously, we were.

It has been close to six months since it was filmed, but the scars are still pretty fresh from Elia Aboumrad's exit from "Top Chef." She said on the show that she felt "humiliated" by the experience of being the first one to pack her knives and she echoed that again today when talking to The Stew.

She blasted how the elimination challenge was judged and fired salvos at head judge Tom Colicchio for taking money from Coke and disparaged the quality of the products Colicchio uses in his restaurants.

"People change. Fame gets to your head and makes it grow, very sadly," she said. "He has become a very different person. He has become someone who is not all about the food anymore. He's not all about supporting farmers markets. He's all about high-fructose corn syrup and there's only corn-fed beef on all of his menus now."

Colicchio told The Stew that his ad was for Diet Coke (which has no high-fructose corn syrup) and that he's buying more food than ever from local farmers.

"I would say I'm probably buying more local produce at all of my restaurants, especially in Vegas. We get a truckload of stuff that comes from the Santa Monica market and from California farmers three times a week," he said.

"So, anytime she wants to stand by the back door when the truck comes in from the farmers market and help unload it, she's more than welcome to do it. "

Ah...they are back and what a kick off of the new season!!! Tre, you are looking hotter than every baby!

The quickfire win goes to season Chicago for their hot dog. Do you agree it was the best? They were the bigger team too.

Congratulations to Chef Angelo Sosa, season 7, for the first elimination win. He is off to a good start. Think he can go all the way?

One had to go but do you think her dish was really the worst? Chef Elia Aboumrad, Season 2 you know you are always welcome in our kitchen girlfriend!

First, to all my fellow TC fans. I am so sorry we let season 7 go by without much blogging. Work has taken a large amount of my time but I am grateful to have the job. Second, to the chefs of season 7. We were not dogging you and I am sorry we did not blog you as well. And to the funny lady who shares this kitchen with me. Thanks for hanging in there with me baby.

The stork has delivered two helpings of newborn to Top Chef's Brian Malarkey.

The season-three finalist and wife Chantelle Marie welcomed fraternal twins on Oct. 18, son Miles James and daughter Sailor Elizabeth, People reports.

The newbies join 2-year-old brother Huntington O'Neil around the family table.

Malarkey, who made it all the way to the final four in Aspen on Top Chef, is now head "cheferee" on TLC's Kick Off Cook Off.

My blog partner, Sous Chef Humor, started a new job which requires a great deal of her time so she is no longer available to blog as often as she used to.

I, chef biatch, while in the middle of a house remodel and move, have become incredibly lazy.

I did recruit guest bloggers then left them high and dry. Responsible, eh?

Sorry for bailing on all the TC fans but I promise to try and pick up the pace. If nothing else, Wednesdays live chat will still be on.

Though I have less of a rooting interest now that Tony Mantuano of Spiaggia is gone, I’m still watching “Top Chef Masters.” Nonetheless, I feel compelled to point out…

5 reasons “Top Chef Masters” is inferior to “Top Chef”:

1. Kelly Choi. Set aside Padma Lakshmi‘s va-va-voom factor, and the “Top Chef” host still comes across as fully engaged in the food as well as the competition. The blank-expressioned Choi could just as easily be reading cue cards on “Entertainment Tonight.”

2. The judges. True, Toby Young was a “Top Chef” annoyance last season (and will be replaced by New York’s Le Bernardin chef Eric Ripert in the upcoming season), but Tom Colicchio boasts more authority and insight than the combined “Top Chef Masters” judging crew. When the chefs disagree with the judges on “Top Chef,” you believe the judges. When they do so on “Masters,” you’re more likely to believe the chefs.

3. The stakes. “Top Chef” is a career-making contest among talented but relatively unknown chefs whose desire and occasional desperation are palpable. For the “Masters” chefs, the contest is icing on a cake that’s already being widely enjoyed. These folks have egos, sure, and want to win money for their charities, but they’re mostly having fun and gaining exposure for their well-established restaurants and careers.

4. The personal tension. The “Masters” chefs are a collegial bunch, as you’d expect from such recognized pros. The lack of snippiness is refreshing compared to some of the immature behavior on “Top Chef,” but television is about drama, and there’s only so much mutual backslapping and toast-giving one can take. Thank goodness arrogant Susur Lee and chicken-thigh-hoarding Marcus Samuelsson occasionally rub their colleagues the wrong way.

5. The star ratings. Unlike “Top Chef,” which determines its weekly winners and losers with no numerical justification, “Top Chef Masters” has its three judges plus collective guests rate the chefs’ dishes on a 1-to-5-star scale, and whoever accumulates the most and fewest stars wins and loses, respectively. Such transparency may seem welcome, but the culinary arts—and that’s what they are at this level—cannot be summed up in objective number rankings that don’t apparently allow the judges collectively to rescue a chef who stumbled interestingly. Also, there’s just something demeaning about these top chefs working their tails off only to face panelists’ declarations of “Two-and-a-half stars!”

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) - "Top Chef" has already launched two spin-off shows, books, a line of cutlery, and more. Now, the hit Bravo show is allowing fans to learn how to cook like a "Top Chef" by attending culinary school, without ever leaving their homes.

Top Chef University is a new online culinary academy which teaches everything from basic knife skills to more advanced culinary trends. The online culinary school features content from the show's "chef'testants" across 200 lessons in 12 courses.

With over 60 hours of comprehensive material, lessons include "Basics and Technique," "Desserts," and "Entertaining, Molecular, Advanced Culinary Skills," which will likely include a cameo from Richard Blais of "Top Chef" Season 4.

Other memorable names and faces from the past seasons of "Top Chef" include winner Stepanie Izard of "Top Chef: Chicago," Spike Mendelsohn of "Top Chef: Chicago," Kevin Gillespie of "Top Chef: Las Vegas," and Carla Hall of "Top Chef: New York."

The site, created by Jeff Goldenberg of Post Oak Productions, along with resident judge Gail Simmons and culinary director Anthony Hoy Fong, will let students work their way into "Top Chef" certification.

"Top Chef is one of television's most popular franchises and we are delighted to be extending this property to the web with what we believe to be the ultimate destination for culinary education," said Goldenberg. "We have developed the site with like-minded, food lovers in mind and believe our top-notch curriculum and instructors will be a real asset to those fans who want to learn from the best in the business."

Bravo has set a June premiere date for the seventh installment of "Top Chef" and announced a new judge.

"Top Chef: Washington D.C." will take the aspiring cheftestants to the Beltway starting on Wednesday, June 16 at 9 p.m.

The Bocus d'Or semi-finalists were announced this week and Kevin is on the list! The chefs were chosen by the U.S. foundation's board of directors: Daniel Boulud, Thomas Keller, and Jerome Bocuse. The U.S. semifinals are set for Feb. 6, 2010, at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. 24 teams (each consisting of a chef and his assistant) from around the world will meet at the Bocuse d'Or International Culinary Competition that takes place in Lyon, France, on Jan. 25 and 26, 2011.

But the big news... we still do not know who the fan favorite is. That will be presented tonight on Andy's show, "Watch What Happens". For those of you on the east coast, it comes on a midnight. Come on Andy...WTF?!?!? We always learned who the FF was during the reunion show.

What a season... and what a final. Class, style, good food and three chefs who all could have been top chef made it to the final. For us TC fans, a final without the bad guy (girl), the drama, the fights. We got to see three chefs cook and that is what we love.

Congratulations to Chef Michael. Welcome to being a Top Chef. You did it with class and style. Just like season one with Chef Harold.

Who would have ever dreamed it would come down to the two brothers? Bryan, you too are a class act and we know how proud you are of your little brother. What a proud moment for the two of you to stand there together...

and to have their mom there. How can you not have looked at this shot and not seen the love of a mom for both her sons. WOW, the tears were flowing then.

Chef Kevin, we love you man. What a class act and bad ass chef you are. Thank you for a GREAT season. We wish you all the best and have a feeling the Fan Favorite is in your future.

Your mom, as well as all of us new fans, are so proud of you.

To all three of you, thank you for a wonderful season and for making Top Chef the show we fans have been wanting to see. We wish all of you the best and hope you will drop by our little kitchen and visit your fans here.

On A Personal Note

Hi fellow TC fans, Sous Chef Humor here.

We wish to thank all of you for dropping by our little kitchen this season and in seasons past and many season to come ( we hope). Chef Biatch and I started this little kitchen before season 2 thinking maybe 10 of our fellow Bravo board friends would drop by. We never dreamed it would become what it has and we owe that all to you. If you look at our counter at the bottom of the side bar, you will see we are close to 600,000 hits to this site. That continues to blow our minds.

Chef Biatch and I have NEVER met. We do all this via email and phone calls to one another yet we are BFF's for life. She is a hoot as many of you have learned in the chat room and I love her with all my heart. Thanks girlfriend for another fun season.

I have not been around the chat room this season as much as I wish nor have I always had post up on time and I just wanted you fellow fans to know it is not that we do not care or love the show, we do... we have just had our worlds a little off center this season.

Like many of you, these are hard times and for me personally, I lost my job in October and have been working hard to find a new one. I am happy to say I have and I am feeling very blessed. I am moving from my little town in southwest Texas to the big city of Dallas this Friday and begin my new job next Monday. So please bear with me as I move my part of this kitchen. I hope to put post up Thursday morning before I shut the kitchen down but will be sure to let you all know when I have it up and running again.

Wow, new city, new home, new job all at once and for the first time by myself (kids have all left the nest). I am a little scared but the good news is I am moving and will be looking up Chef Tre. Get ready Chef Tre I will find you.

So fellow Dallas TC fans, here I come!!

There they are... the final three for Top Chef. Brothers Bryan and Michael and the chef that could Kevin. Congratulations to Chef Michael for the QF win and to Chef Bryan for the elimination win.

Back on October 10th we let you vote as to who you thought would be the next top chef. As the results show...

we fans had the top 4 picked but had Jennifer ahead of Michael by 30 votes. The results of the October 10th poll show we voted Kevin as the next top chef.

Now that we are down to the final, let's vote again before next weeks show.
