I loved the two challenges - the QF was unique, and the EC was a great dose of the reality of school lunches. However, if this season continues to highlight competition (such as Angelo's apparent attempt to get rid of Kenny) over cooking, then I will stop watching. A Top Chef should have enough confidence in their own cooking to stand up to the best contestants, not simply be the last one standing. I want TC DC to return to focusing on cooking and not partisan politics.
Will nobody say anything about Amanda's insistence on putting wine in a middle-school lunch entrée. Beyond being totally inappropriate, her insistence on buying the sherry screwed the budget. She should have been PYKAG'd simply for not complying with the parameters of the challenge.
Along with Jacqueline, not instead of.
I couldn't believe how insulting each team was to the other. The red wine shouldn't have been used and Jacqeline (who looks like Kate Hudson) should have insisted on buying what she needed.
