Counting Down The Chefs
8 days fellow TC fans. Only 8 more days.
Todays highlighted new chef is:
Chef Lia Bardeen
Executive sous-chef, Jean Georges
Brooklyn, NY
Lia must-have kitchen accessory is: A sharp knife and a good blender
Lia go-to ingredients? Salt
What ingredient(s) does Lia avoid/dislike? I am not a big tripe fan
How will Lia handle the pressure of competition? I just take a deep breath and focus on the food.
Welcome to Top Chef 3 Lia. We wish you all the best.
Update: We are so sorry we had Chef Lia last name incorrect but we have it now. We still wish her all the best!!

Are you sure her last name is Bulaong and not Bardeen?
I googled Lia Bulaong and it takes you to Bravo so we will stick with it for now.
I did google Lia Bardeen and it also says she is a contestant on season 3. Hmmmm.
Thanks for letting us know we may be wrong with a chefs name,
brillke
A person by the name of Lia Bulaong writes for Serious Eats and has a byline for this post about Top Chef Miami: http://www.seriouseats.com/required_eating/2007/05/top-chef-3-miami-vice.html, which might explain why she’s turning up in a Google search. Kinda doesn’t sound like something a current contestant would write, or that Bravo would permit her to . . .
I will have my blog partners change the name to Bardeen. Ive looked this up for a bit tonight and found her credited as both Bulaong,Bardeen or just Lia. The ones calling her Bulaong could be quoting the same source we used or quoting us, Im not sure which.
Thanks for the correction,

Anon,
I just got confirmation from NBC and you are correct, it is Bardeen. I feel like such a dork!
Oh well, it proves we have the best readers so my dorkiness does serve a purpose.

No need to feel like a dork, just glad for confirmation of the correct info! We will be fascinated by all the cheftesants during the upcoming season. Glad to know our good wishes can be directed to the proper person!
