It's as if the criminal assault on Marcel never happened! What gives? Did Bravo buy you off? Disgusting.
Illia, Cliff, Sam and Illan are all sickening, ugly people. I know Marcel is hardly a saint, but he didn't do anything to deserve what these assholes did to him. I hate them all! Except for Marcel.

Bravo did not buy us off. We decided as a group that there was nothing funny about what happened to Marcel...that in fact it was quite the opposite. But what we weren't going to do is give anymore attention to the thing Bravo seems to want us to focus on...When infact what should be bothering people is food not being of a certain standard and the attitude of the chefs as a whole being far less in the mindset of winning but just getting by on snipes and gripes and a little cooking skills.
I have this question for all of anyone interested...since the season is shot and over don't you wonder why Bravo is showing you so little of what is annoying the chefs about Marcel? Is it because they knew he won so they wanted us to like him? feel sorry for him? I'm not saying he doesn't deserve our respect for handling that horrific situation as maturely as possible but don't you think it's odd that all the other chefs are ass#@!*s and are making things up about this decent guy that we are all feeling for and wanting to win? Don't jump on me...I'm just posing a thought...of all of them there I too sympathise with Marcel and hope that he wins...I just can't help but wonder....
If Bravo is buying us off, they forgot to send the check.
I will take responsibility for a lackluster Sunday Roast. One should never blog while under the influence of Nyquil.

You say: "I'm not saying he doesn't deserve our respect for handling that horrific situation as maturely as possible but don't you think it's odd that all the other chefs are ass#@!*s and are making things up about this decent guy that we are all feeling for and wanting to win?"
What I find odd is that whenever a member of the anti-Marcel clique is asked to give an example of bad behavior from Marcel, they can't come up with anything specific. They just offer some vague complaint about how they thought he was annoying.
If Marcel was truly as bad as some of these people say he is, not only would we see proof of it on the show, but his tormentors would have an easier time telling us what he did wrong.
We've seen multiple instances where the other contestants acted like jerks. And not just to Marcel, but to other people on the show. So it's not far fetched to think the other chefs are bunch of assholes who picked on Marcel simply because he's a little odd.

Ok, had to delet my last couple comments... so let's try this again.
I commend the gals who create this site for NOT spending 15 posts going on and on about the incident with Marcel and Cliff (et all).
I'm sure we all found a place to make at least one comment (I did over on Coliccio's blog).
The reason I post here and with the gals over at TC2 is because both sites (and most of it's visitors) refrain from being akin to the nasty, mean-spirited free for all that is pervasive on the Bravo message boards. The gernal fee of both sites is that of affection.
I'm not saying what happened wasn't appalling. It was. But no purpose is served to anyone to go on and on and on about it.
You'll find I rarely ever make strong statements in my posts. I try to have a rounded point of view. But this I do have to say to anon 11:26.
If you hate the chefs, stop watching the show. And if you're disatisfied with what the owners of this site choose to post, or not post, then create your own blog where you can merrily hate on whoever you choose.
Hmph!
Kudos to Chef Backburner, Chef Biatch and peachpie for their replies to anon 11:26. What I find interesting is that whenever someone has something negative or downright nasty to say to the chefs on this blog, is that they always post as anonymous. I think that this blog is very fair to everyone and that they offer a variety of opinions and they don't browbeat their posters when they don't agree with them.
Taking the high road is commendable. We have all said on our respective blogs that we think Sam, Ilan, Elia, and Cliff behaved in a despicable manner. We have said it 'till we're blue in the face. Now we're ready to move on.
Frankly, I am curious to see how this competition ends. It's the first time I'll be watching a finale not caring who wins.
I feel sorry for Marcel, but in no way do I think he's Top Chef material. I don't care how good his dishes are. He does not inspire others to follow him.
Having said that, none of the others are ready for that position either.
One of the interviewees, I forget which one, said that Marcel had spent 15 minutes accusing Sam of cheating when Sam blew up at him in the store. Bravo did not show the accusations.
Where there is smoke there is fire, so I do think Bravo is not showing us Marcel's most irritating moments.
That said, Cliff should not have manhandled him and the others should have not stood by and watched it happen.
I also don't think Marcel is Top Chef material. There is something there that causes people to react to him in a most unsavory manner when under stress. You can't have that in a kitchen.
Bravo needs to set higher standards of behavior next season and hold the chefs to it.
Most of us are here for the food and not the drama. They need to pay attention to that.
Maybe Sam DID cheat. Too bad we'll never know the truth.
Marcel was well within his right to question Sam and call him out for possibly cheating. Marcel did it to his face and immediately at the store where he witnessed Sam cheating. Unlike Sam who allegedly witnessed cheating with the olive oil incident, yet said nothing until his own ass was on the line and he was in danger of being sent home for his crappy dry meatballs.
Instead of addressing Marcel's concerns and asking the producers to clarify the guidelines on accepting store discounts, Sam went on a tirade. He called Marcel a "gnat", and a "rat" (gee, Sam, pot meet kettle) and a "piece of shit", and screamed about how everyone hated Marcel.
Sam was extremely unprofessional, and definitely NOT Top Chef material. Harold would NEVER behave like such a hysterical bitchy loon. Neither would any of the Season 1 chefs - except maybe Ken (he and Sam have a lot on common!)
Sam is a disgrace. Funny how he was so smug when he accused others of cheating, but when the tables are turned, he becomes enraged and has a meltdown.
Well, it just goes to prove that Bravo is cooking the books as far as what really happened and why their approach to the show needs to change. We'll never know unless they step up to the plate on this matter.
I have a lot of problems with Bravo this year.
Which reminds me....
The whole episode with Camp Glucose was a mistake. You do not fool around with carbs and diabetics. Betty's mistake was thinking overall calories were as important when she was really adjusting carbs. An easy mistake for her to make. The olive oil was not so much of an issue as you don't adjust medications for fat, you adjust for carbs. The show and the dieticians messed up here. They should have been watching more carefully.
I only wonder if you guys would have taken "the high road" if Marcel had done something awful to Sam or Ilan...
Dunno...just sayin'...
lelĂȘ
Uh actually we would...if you remember the fight between Marcel and Frank...we told both sides that week...really with no opinion whatsoever.
Look...there's a big difference here in regards to the chefs verses Bravo. And right now it's really not about who wronged who...it's about who is stupid enough to try and benifit from something that is completely aweful for all parties involved.
I think we have had fun over the course of this season and have been an outlet for many opinions, including our own. But there is a time for people to look at a program and that programs production team and say "This is rediculous!"...or something in that ballpark...
The problem there -- re: sunglasses-gate -- is that there were more than two sides to that story, because Mike was in the room cleaning up before Marcel even got there.
Mike has made it clear in his post-show interviews that he can't stand Frank. So it was unfair to imply Marcel was the only one who could've broken the sunglasses.
Elia is an ugly person. She showed her true colors when she joined the bully brigade against her supposed "friend" Marcel. I cannot stand to look at this bitch's face any longer. Too bad Mia knifed herself for her, and the producers prevented Tom from sending her pathetic ass home along with the other bullies. Elia does not deserve to be there.
