Top Chef Holiday Gift Idea



Give your TOP CHEF FAN cookies and recipes from the Chefs....
or bake em and eat em yourself.

From Chef Carlos to you:


1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 egg
1/2 tsp. pure vanilla

1 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup finely chopped nuts
powdered sugar icing (divided in half with one part red dye and the other green)

Heat oven to 350. Mix butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla thoroughly. Sift flour. Blend together flour and salt. Stir into prior mixture. Roll dough into balls (1 tsp. per ball). Beat egg white slightly with fork. Dip balls in egg white, roll in nuts. Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Press your thumb gently in center of each. Bake 10 - 12 minutes or until set. Cool. Fill thumbprint with tinted icing.
